Comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias Hearts TWLC! No Viviana! Wait, Tell Me More! Actually NPR!

I love it when I learn something new which happened when I guest hosted NPR’s Tell Me More with Michel Martin while Michel was away.  I interviewed comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias for the TMM summer series Make Me Laugh.

I must be livin’ under a piedra.  I mean, Gabriel’s a YouTube sensation.  He’s been on Comedy Central and has his own series on this network, Stand Up Revolution, where he gathers comedians from all over the world to joke around, ya know, stand-up estilo.

Plus “Fluffy” as he calls himself has cornered the market on this term.  If you google “fluffy”, he’s número uno.  I promptly asked him to reveal his SEO secrets so that I am número uno when you search for different things–type in “politics columnist,” and ping! and there I am. Try “fabulous,” también.  Plug in “Latina,” and servers melt down.

Iglesias is a super doll face, no?

He confided in me that as a young boy, he was painfully shy and overweight.  Being funny helped him cope and come out of his shell.

Good for us because he’s adorbs beyond and hilarious.

Oh here’s another little nugget from my interview: he’s a sharp entrepreneur, forming a production company and starting a Big & Tall clothing line.  He’s starring in Magic Mike with Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum, but thinking a few steps ahead.

Descarado: totally after my heart:

Here’s a segment that’s sexy and cool.  It’s called “In Your Ear” where different people reveal what’s on their playlist.  Actress Tia Mowry, best known for her 1990s sitcom Sister, Sister is all grown up and has published a book, Oh Baby! Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another.  Tia tells us what’s playing in her ear which I love because her choices are equal party sexy and 90′s:

What’s playing in your ear or on your podcast?

    Hi Viviana,

I was up early this morning on the west coast so I caught your interview with Bill Press. I found your views both interesting and informative. Under the current political climate, it is pretty challenging for us independent thinking individuals to remain non bias, particular when it comes to immigration relates issues!
