Totally agree. I think it's the opposite of instant gratification but a slow and steady commitment. I guess it's true, no, that good things come to those who wait?

I agree with you Alba and sadly, although we have some amazing Latin@s representing, we need more. I was at the South Asian Journalists Association (SAJA) gala and during the fundraising challenge, the leadership showed those who were participating and were they were. Managing editor of the LA Times, head of Time World, EP of NPR’s Morning Edition, running CNBC. If I look at the Latinos in broadcast comparatively speaking and excluding Univision and Telemundo, I do not see Hispanics “way up there.” Now add that the South Asian community is smaller.

We need more Latino and Latinas out there representing us. I do not see them if they are out there.

Interesting I think to some extent it’s true we rally up for great causes but aren’t consistent at least this has been my observation in my community. When it came to causes that effected our community directly we went hard but with other things that didn’t seem as important at the time we stay quiet. I believe in Change by setting an example!
