Amen to that! Perhaps military and community service should be mandatory before running for the Presidency. I think that experience would give aspiring candidates a “reality” check when war-mongering or setting economic policy. Even for those who come from humble beginnings, they sure seem to forget where they came from.
As for the smelling salts, it was all a figment of my over-active imagination…although if Jorge ever called, I would need smelling salts AND a pañito saturado en alcohol to come back to life!

What an exciting opportunity! You look beautiful on the segment, so poised and confident. (I watched the segment – even though I couldn’t understand most of it – head hanging in shame…)

I think very few politicians truly understand the struggles of the working/middle class. And the things that are important them like jobs, a decent living wage and a better school system (even in lower income areas) I think once government can grasp those concepts, then they can move on to getting the Latino voter.

And I would need smelling salts if Jorge called me up too
