It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Define anchor baby
It’s the most wonderful time of the yeaaarrr!
Be glad–very glad–you’re not hearing me sing this twisted rendition of the Christmas classic only a political nerd like me could love.
But listen in to the discussion on NPR’s Tell Me More with Michel Martin where I joined sharp-witted thought leaders Michelle Bernard of the right-of-center think tank the Bernard Center for Women, Politics, and Public Policy, U.S. News & World Report columnist and former George H.W. Bush speech writer Mary Kate Cary, and the snobalicious Danielle Belton of the politics and pop culture blog, The Black Snob.
We chatted about political wives–do they help or hurt candidates?–as the GOP presidential hopefuls release Holiday political ads right before the Iowa caucuses; the “anchor baby” definition controversy I wrote about for Latina Magazine, as well as Kobe Bryant’s divorce and why his soon-to-be ex is being portrayed as a Latina gold-diggety Anna Nicole Smith.
BTW, Michel is on a much-deserved vacation with her family, but fill-in host Allison Keyes of NPR really rocked it!
As for my singing, only two places where I tranform into Beyoncé: church and the shower. So wear your earplugs to midnight Mass.
