i read some of the comments on the HuffPo and wasn't able to log in. I agree in part with some of the readers. Things started changing before 9/11, which is exactly why it happened... however, things are differently different and not the same as the were just hours before. Everything is huge inconvenience, especially for someone like myself that travels as much as I do....I did a lot of criminal legal work on behalf of alleged martyrs and supports of Al Qaeda (a major moral implication and source of discontentment at the law firm where I worked). The Privacy Act and everything else has changed the way we live our lives. So while certain things had already started changing pre 9/11, everything else did in fact change. good piece.
