I always vote and I enjoy doing it. But I’m tired to hear Latinos saying that we ONLY have to vote for the Democratic party. Most of these voters don’t know anything about the candidate!! We need more information before we submit our vote.

I have been a bad Latina in the past and not voted. I also failed to learn about the issues when I have voted. I do feel that Latino voter participation has increased. Even my momma voted in the 2008 election. Her first time voting to date. We do need to realize, however, that a vote isn’t enough. We will soon be the majority and with that comes responsibility.

Hmmm good question. I certainly hope Latino voter participation will be high! There are so many issues at stake. The most important thing is that Latino voters really take the time to learn about the issues at hand, and not just watch the entertaining commercials and mud-slinging.
