Not today. Chicas, place your high heels next to your laptop and lace up your sneaks because today is National Walking Day.
The first Wednesday of April, the American Heart Association encourages walking for 30 minutes to increase awareness of the importance of physical activity.

Participating companies are encouraging employees to take walking breaks, hold walking meetings, pace while on the phone, or try walking/running to and from work as I write in 2 Ways to Keep PE on Your Schedule. You can also stay active off the job. Stroll in the morning or evening alone or with a friend, walk to run errands, or hike a trail near you.
Walking for at least 30 minutes a day can help you reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and enhance your mental well being.
